Thank you for this. I’ve been struggling so much trying to figure out my why. It becomes extremely overwhelming and before I know it my mind is racing and negative emotions flood me. I’ve also been struggling to articulate all that I’m feeling so in essence I feel like a lost soul. I hype myself up, do my affirmations and pump myself up but after a few days I feel anxious and overwhelmed around the clock. I’m gonna try start small and remember what things used to make me feel alive and start there. Hoping for a great 2021, where I get to be unstuck. Loved the movie and will keep coming back to these quotes when days get dark.

Hi Necole! Wow! I watched the movie but like you I will have to watch it again. I guess I wasn't paying attention. Thank you for pulling out those quotes! I will watch it again over the holiday weekend. I can't wait to watch it with new eyes! Keep doing what you do! Sharice :)

I love how you broke this down! The biggest takeaway for me was that your spark and purpose are different. I feel like I'm finally on the way to living my purpose and it's an awesome feeling.

Another Ace Nicole🙌 I got all the quotes too, super relevant to me personally it made me choke at the end. Facing your reality can be hard but also a necessity for moving forward. “Your purpose and your spark are different. Your purpose is found in how you serve others, but your spark is living. It’s your passion. “ Really struck a cord, most times humans just drift through life without ever finding that spark ... and another one that struck me is when Angela Bassett (Dorothea) told the story about the fish wanting to find the ocean whilst being in the sea.. life is truly a melting pot of learning . Again, thanks for analysing this just in time before the New Year, it was sorely needed..(and to think I hated animation movies.. lol)

Hi Necole, thank you so much for sharing! In so many ways, this post is relatable to what I’m currently experiencing. I enjoyed Soul and found it to be an amazing allegory (I’m going to watch it again)! Have a Happy New Year; looking forward to reading your writing in 2021!

Thank you for your transparency. This movie affirmed me in ways I didn't know I needed. Soul couldn't have some at a better time for us all.

I don’t feel like I’m truly living or found my spark. I’m so caught up in paying bills. Before this movie I was thinking about how I’m operating in this world and then the pandemic hit. I did enjoy the movie though and need to watch it again. To catch things that I may have missed the first time.

Thanks for this, I really enjoyed it and has me thinking again.

Wow!! This blessed me so much!! It’s amazing how God can use anything, I.e. this movie, to reignite that fire back inside us. To dig deep & remind us what our purpose is, why we’re on the journey we’re on. I pray that Gods keeps sending you reminders that you’re on the right path. Most importantly that all the love, support and encouragement you pour into us you receive the same in return. So that your cup never runs empty for you to keep moving in your purpose and not lose your spark 🙏🏽

Wow wow wow wow. This writeup and the introspection accompanying each quote was so powerful. This movie really gave us all something to think about something that all too often we don’t think about until it’s too late to do anything about it or pivot

I loved the movie! It was very inspiring. The messages throughout the film really resonated with me because over the past 6 months I've been reflecting on my purpose and getting back to doing things I'm passionate about.
